About the Role

Salary: Competitive


This product designer will take charge of the product design processes and will be ultimately accountable for exploring and defining a problem space, through to solutioni sing and perfecting the designs to the solution. The bulk of their work will reside in the latter part (solutionising and creating pixel perfect wireframes and prototypes in line with global standards and best practices). They must have a creative eye with the ability to think critically and unconventionally in exploring new ideas or solutions.


This role is remote first but you may be required to come into office on occasion as necessary for events or workshops (will not be frequent).



CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


By partnering with cross-functional teams and customers, you will translate insights into delightful products in a creative environment that requires proven leadership skills. The role will require you to:


AIENAI (Parent company)

  • Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers

  • Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success

  • Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback

  • Develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs

  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)

  • Convey understanding of product specifications and user psychology

  • Guide and mentor junior designers in product design skill improvement

  • Modify and revise existing designs to meet changing customer preferences

  • Work with other designers (where available) to implement attractive designs

  • Present product design ideas to cross-functional teams and senior leadership

  • Collaborate with research team to create personas through user research and data

  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends and standard measurements

  • Work closely with product engineers to suggest product and process improvements


AIENAI Academy

  • Provide individualised instruction to mentees by promoting interactive learning.


External Stakeholders

  • Ensure the final design aligns with the stakeholders’ brand identity and objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback on design projects.



JOB REQUIREMENTS


Knowledge/Skill Requirements


  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members

  • Excellent knowledge of Figma for wireframing and prototyping

  • Ability to effectively communicate and persuade around design concepts

  • Perfect knowledge of industry standards and best practices in product design for enabling beautifully seamless experiences

  • Proven experience in all phases of the design process including user research, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing

  • Passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve

  • A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives

Education/Experience Requirements


  • BSc in Design, Computer Science or a related field

  • Proven product design experience

  • Any award certificate in a product design or relevant field
