The Graphic & UI Designer will be responsible for translating user requirements into visually stunning and intuitive user interfaces. You will provide support and collaborate closely with our cross-functional team, including product managers, developers, and other designers across several projects to create designs that enhance the overall user experience. 

Experience using AI platforms to enhance/speed up your graphics design process, and also very good knowledge of Wix are essential for this role.

This is a contract position. However, you may be converted to full-time based on the duration of other projects

This role is remote first but you may be required to come into office on occasion as necessary for events or workshops (will not be frequent).


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is remote first but you may be required to come into office on occasion as necessary for events or workshops (will not be frequent). The scope of the job is categorised into 3 major nodes:


AIENAI (Parent company)

  • Rapidly design visually compelling graphic assets for web, mobile, social media, presentations, and other marketing materials as needed.

  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand brand messaging, target audience, and overall project goals for graphic design needs.

  • Take ownership of the design of the company websites using a third party application - Wix.

  • Utilise / integrate AI tools in the design processes to enhance efficiency and output.

  • Develop and maintain the company's brand style guides, including logo usage, colour palettes, typography, and image treatments.

  • Ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines and contribute to the overall visual identity of our products.

  • Design impactful marketing materials across various media formats (digital, physical, print, etc) that align with the company's brand identity and campaign goals.

  • Support internal creative needs by designing social media graphics, presentations, internal newsletters, and other company assets.

  • Support in creating storyboards when necessary to conceptualise designs and convey project plans to clients and management.

  • Support in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.

  • Support the design and creation of engaging learning material for AIENAI Academy courses.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to bring fresh ideas to the design process.

AIENAI Academy

  • Provide individualised instruction to mentees by promoting interactive learning.


External Stakeholders

  • Ensure the final design aligns with the stakeholders’ brand identity and objectives.

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback on design projects.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Experience creating storyboards and site mapping

  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture

  • Familiarity with relevant design and collaboration tools such as Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Sketch, Wix, Adobe Creative, Miro, Figma, Notion, etc.

  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.

  • A flair for creative thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple and user-friendly manner.

  • Meticulous proofreading and editing skills to ensure error-free content.

  • Openness to feedback and a willingness to iterate and improve content based on user and team feedback.

  • A good grasp of design programs and tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva is also necessary.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • A degree in any relevant field.

  • Proven experience as a Graphics / UI Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.

  • Must have experience with third-party web builders (specifically Wix).
